In this series, we are discussing the events of World War I that led to the partition of the Ottoman Empire.

This is episode 5-27: Armistice and Partition.

Before we get into the episode, let’s do a brief recap of where we are so far:

  1. Germany’s Spring Offensive, which began in March 1918, has run out of steam and the Allies respond with a vicious counterattack
  2. Hundreds of thousands of American troops arrive in Europe bringing a significant advantage, and the Spanish Flu, to the Allies
  3. In the Middle East, the Ottomans have lost Damascus and Amman and fall back to Homs
  4. Prince Feisal learns the harsh truth of the Sykes-Picot Agreement when General Allenby informs him Syria will go to the French

And with that, let’s begin our discussion of the End of World War One.
