This is episode 5-27: Armistice and Partition.
Before we get into the episode, let’s do a brief recap of where we are so far:
- Germany’s Spring Offensive, which began in March 1918, has run out of steam and the Allies respond with a vicious counterattack
- Hundreds of thousands of American troops arrive in Europe bringing a significant advantage, and the Spanish Flu, to the Allies
- In the Middle East, the Ottomans have lost Damascus and Amman and fall back to Homs
- Prince Feisal learns the harsh truth of the Sykes-Picot Agreement when General Allenby informs him Syria will go to the French
